At Casa Carotondo we offer three newly furnished self-catering holiday apartments for rental in central Le Marche (the Marches), throughout the year. The holiday apartments, which provide holiday accommodation for up to 13 people, have been sensitively renovated to a high standard in the traditional Le Marche style with environmental sustainability and modern comfort in mind.

Holiday apartment Priora has one bedroom providing a holiday home for up to 3 people. While holiday apartment Vettore has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and can accommodate from 2 to 6 people. Our newest rental apartment Rotondo, also with one bedroom, can provide a holiday home for up to four people. Each apartment has its own terrace for ‘al fresco’ dining.

Spectacular mountain views

Surrounding the holiday apartments is a large garden on two levels for sole use of our guests to relax and enjoy the beautiful Le Marche countryside of Italy. Casa Carotondo, a former farmhouse constructed of sandstone, sits atop a small hill surrounded by farm and woodland. The views of the Sibillini Mountains from the apartments and garden are spectacular.

Roundabout our Le Marche holiday home

The interior of Le Marche region (check out our location map) is one of the least developed and most unspoilt in Italy. It is an area known to Italian tourists and an increasing number of international holiday-makers. Sarnano and San Ginesio, the nearest towns to our holiday accommodation, have both been officially listed among the 'most beautiful villages' in Italy. Both towns have also earned the Orange Flag from the Touring Club of Italy for the high standards of their tourist facilities. On offer is a wide range of shops and restaurants as well as some stunning scenery and wonderful architecture. During your visit to these medieval hilltop towns you will find the local populace is hospitable, welcoming and patient with those fumbling with basic Italian

Le Marche food, wine and festas

All towns in Le Marche organise festas and various other forms of entertainment especially during the summer holiday season. There is a wide choice of restaurants in the area offering the traditional food of Le Marche at reasonable prices. Alternatively take advantage of the self-catering facilities in your holiday apartment to try out some Le Marche recipes for yourself (have a look at our page about food) using the fresh produce available at the market in nearby Sarnano. Finally there are the excellent wines of Le Marche to savour including local wines produced according to San Ginesio DOC.

You can visit a number of important medieval towns with their respective cultural riches such as Macerata, Tolentino and Ascoli Piceno The Sibillini Mountains are close offering opportunities for walking, cycling and many other sports. The Adriatic coast of Le Marche with its blue flag beaches and excellent beach-side fish restaurants also beckons. If all that sounds too much just drive up to the mountain passes, have a picnic and take in the views.
